Ladik Lake
Overview
Lake Ladik, which is 12 km from the town center and 80 km from the city centre, is a natural lake. Spreading on an area of approximately 870 hectares on the plain, the lake is also an area where reeds used in the traditional handicrafts of the district, “wickerwork”, are grown. In addition, Lake Ladik hosts fish species such as Crane, Freshwater Perch, Woodfish, Carp and Red Wing. At the same time, Lake Ladik is home to many bird species as it provides a natural environment. In bird watching studies, Trout, Little Egret, Night Heron, Black Stork, Mallard, Long Leg, Maiden Bird, Green Whistle, Blackhead Gull, Silver Gull, Tern, Little Tern, White-winged Tern, Kaya Guvencini, Crested Baygar, Field Bird , Red-backed Shrike, Choking Thrush and Crane species have been identified.
